Woogie Boogie fools, it's Halloween time and people everywhere are gearing up their offensive Micheal Jackson molester, Miley Cyrus the underage pole dancer, or naughty (nurse, zoo keeper, driving instructor etc...) costumes.

I'm still working on the latest video, which you can see an exclusive preview of here, so what I wanted to do is share some of the best things I've seen come out lately. Check it out, and let me know what you thought below (THATS RIGHT FOOL LEAVE A COMMENT.)

Alright let's get started, first I wanted to show you a bit of what we were into the last week. Wen't to go catch Dead Prez with C-Rayz Walz last week at Emo's. Props to the homie Zeale on rocking the crowd, even Dubb Sicks made a guest appearance. The talk of the night though, was that C-Rayz brought his 10 year old son, THAT HE JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT, on stage and they freestyled together. All Maury Povich Baby Daddy jokes aside, check it out here...

As Dookie Vizion productions I've been trying to grow in the world of visual media, and one of my influences is the homie O.G. Bootleg of Luxury Mindz. I've already showcased his first two videos here and here, and he continues to take it to another level. This time working with some of the BEST artist here in Austin, Southbound ft. Mr. Greezo of the C.O.D. Just watch this video and be amazed by the overall quality.

Finally I'm going to hit yall with another video from an artist that I've showcased here many times, and I've been in wonder of for the past year or so. Vohnbeatz, young 11 year old SUPER-producer and offspring of another Super-producer S1, dropped his first solo video for his up coming solo EP. The video was shot by S1, and just once again gives me hope for the FUTURE of hip-hop.

First off I gotta say whats up to the homie Joe Average, no one deals with the condition of "re-vidiligo" like that dude right there. In fact his triumphant struggle will motivate me through posting this weeks 54 Reality Show blog.

We hit the streets and headed to one of the homes of hip-hop in Austin, Flamingo Cantina. This week there were performances from Foogs Gatsby, Gutta, Die Slo, Cali Zack, and The League of Extrordinary G'z.

There also was a pretty funny battle between Foogs Gatsby and Flynn D. If you've been in the Central TX scene for any amount of time you've probably ran across Flynn D and his infamous freestyles. They took it to each other Grind Time style and you can watch it in its entirety below.

In the effort to make Dookie Vizion Productions and The 54 Reality Show a full scale established media outlet we bring the newest spin off, Reality Bytes. We take the interviews that you've come to love out of the weekly video blog, and give you a chance to get a bit more in these rappers business haha.

What better way to jump this new endeavor off than to bring you interviews by two very hard working and talented Texas acts. First we caught up with the boys from Mojoe, opening up for Mayer Hawthorn last week, and the homie Bavu Blakes took the time to help us get reacquainted with his long time collaborators.

Then we met up with the self proclaimed "Abortion Clinic Casanova," Dubb Sicks, and believe me he kept it raw. Catch him opening up for Fashawn and Ghostface Killah, and make sure you be on the look out for future projects from BOTH Mojoe & Dubb Sicks. In the process of life and developing new visual madness has led us to miss only a "few" weeks of this blog. When we do take a break though, we like to come back with a bang and this week is official.

First we head to Red 7 to catch a pretty live show. Mayer Hawthorne, Buff1, 14KT, and Mojoe brought the heat to a cold rainy night in the ATX. Hosted by Bavu Blakes, who pulled dual hosting duties and hosted the first half of this weeks blog.

Then we ran right back out the next night and caught Ghostface Killah's Wizard of Poetry Tour ft. Fashawn. Local homies Phranchyze and Dubb Sicks held down the supporting slots.

Also, G-Christ had to get a bit off of his chest...

Alright enough of the "re-mos-ified" Denise Williams, lets get this episode of the 54 Reality Show underway. Last week you saw the five four and Bavu Blakes grace the stage in Austin with magnanimous persona. This week, we took the show on the road to Dallas. I don't even have to tell you how dope it was, just know with a line up including Original Soul, Verbal Seed, Crew54, and Bavu Blakes that it was a night of some truly glorious hip-hop. Throw in the fact that Bavu brought Rochelle Terrell and DJ Knowledge, also Dallas' own S'ence and Pikahsso and it was a soulful night of Texas hip-hop.

Special thanks to Vigilante Music Group and Guerillamilk for making it all happen, also I can't forget Rage Almighty for hosting and DJ Love for maintaining the sounds all night. Big shout out to miss Lovejones for giving us the best "anti police, pro Fred Hampton" quote I've ever heard. Also I got to give some love to Vohnbeatz and Mpak. Whats good yall, the 54 Reality Show is rolling big all across the state of Texas, and you can come along for the ride. Last weekend started out with us heading back to the small but uberly crunk town of Kerrville. Reality Show regular Dubb Sicks and our girl Special K promotions put together a show featuring us, C.G.E., Lil J and Big J.D., Stephanie Salvo, and DJ Aspekt. Drinks must have been real good because I was mispronouncing names, people were dancing hard, and having a real good time.

The next night we headed back to one of our favorite spots in Austin, Flamingo Cantina, to put it down with Cali Zack & NA Productions, and Bavu Blakes. Before the show we caught up with Lil J of the C.O.D., Reggie Coby of Dred Skott (both of those cats are in the ATX super group League of Extraordinary G'z), and found out things didn't end so peaceful in Kerrville after we left when we caught up with Dubb Sicks again. The show was fun, and gotta give love to DJ Rapid Ric, Kid Slyce, Wes Sanders and DJ Knowledge for holding it down.

I won't spend alot of time typing my hilarious and gangstafied comentary this week, because there was just so much going on. As we'd been talking about in the blogs leading up to this one, we would be opening for Mr. Lif & Gift of Gab at one show, and Invincible at another one...ON THE SAME NIGHT. Thanks to DJ Kid Slyce, and DJ Crop Diggie for putting in work with ya boys. We also caught some dope sets by Kevin Jack at Aces Lounge and The League of Extrordinary G'z at Red 7.

Then we ended the weekend at Plush celebrating the homie Avi's Filthy 30th Birthday with Table Manners Crew. I apologize for the last two or so mintues of pure on the street drunken tomfoolery, thats just how it goes down whenever we do a Crew Deep event at Plush.

"I LOST MY MIND, I LOST MY MIND!"

Naw ya boy ain't going crazy, but I was informed that was the proper (aka completely asshole style) way to get rid of people asking you for change in downtown Austin. The 54 Reality Show is back again, and you CAN get jiggy to this shit.

First off we hit up the Devin The Dude show at Aces lounge. One of our favorite hip-hop veterans at one of our favorite new venues in the 6th St area, shoot I'm getting high just reminiscing about it. If you're 420 positive, or just like good music, you should mos def check out Devin if he is in your city. Much love to the fam ScoreMore and Keep It Local for holding it down.

Then we headed down to the UT area, near the drag, to hold it down for our folk the MSG Crew. We've rocked with them plenty times before, and this was no different. They just dropped their latest project The Giants, and called out Dubb Sicks, OT23, Boomset, and ya boys Crew54 to rock the mic.

54 Reality Show 8-26 (Whats Coming Up)

Whats really good, no actual video for this week but that just means we got something EXTRA cooking up for you. We have a very busy couple of weeks coming up so we wanted to take some time to showcase the upcoming shows we'll be rocking.

"Hold up, did you say Crew54 will be performing, what the heck, I thought you guys were just big camera guys?"

Yeah we rap, but don't tell no one...unless they gonna bring they stankin asses out to these shows.

First off we'll be rocking the homies Clemits and the MSG Crew. I gotta say since, we've been doing this local hip-hop thing, there have been FEW, and I mean literally FEW people who grind as CONSISTENTLY as the MSG Crew. One of the cats I know who goes as hard is the fam Dubb Sicks. From Odessa to Austin to a Greyhound tour all across the east coast, he puts in his work for his music. This show is near UT, 18 and up, plus there will be a serious mix of hip-hop and the arts. Come out and support, also with the price of admission you get a copy of their latest release The Giants.

Then on Sept. 3rd it gets really serious. We usually try to refrain from double booking performances on the same night, unlike so many other locals we know (I didn't say that did I?), but we got the opportunity to be apart of two special shows.

First, the homie Avi got us hooked up with an opening slot for Gift of Gab and Mr. Lif. Right now Austin is Hip-hop central fam, and I think someone let Mr. Lif in on the secret. This will be our 4th or 5th time checking him out this year, and get this one of those times was in Canada. Plus, I've been a huge Gift of Gab fan ever since I heard the name Blackalicious. We've got some special crowd exciting stuff planned for this one and we'll be putting it down with the homie Kid Slyce of TMC.

Also that same night, one of the hottest up and coming MC's in the game, Invincible, will be wrecking shop brought to you by Matt Sonzala of Austinsurreal.com. I caught her earlier this year and man she is beyond serious. Very few artist these day's convey a message, while still keeping the lyrics fresh. We're down with someone who works so hard to speak out and keeps it dope while doing it, so when the chance to be apart of this came up we had to jump at it. Plus our fam The League of Extraordinary G'z will be performing on stage all as one group for the first time ever. Throw in Blacklisted Individuals and DJ Crop Diggie and this will be one night to remember.

There are more shows coming than that, but I don't want to be typing all year. The 54 Reality Show will be back next week, bigger and bette- wait, doesn't it suck when people say that and it doesn't really come true, like the thing comes back and its just regular as hell? Well slap yo momma cuz when the 54 Reality Show takes a break its always better than you remember it.

Imagine if you take damn near every big Texas rapper, put them all on one bill, on one night and on one video blog...you'd have this weeks episode of the 54 Reality Show. In fact, I think there were almost as many performances in this one episode as our SXSW coverage...well don't let me exaggerate.

It was Hot93.3 Hot Summer Jam event, and it went down. I'm not even going to begin to name all the artist we checked out. Big shout to C-Hova for holding it down with me, she's a soldier for real.

The Wu was in the building and TX always has love for the Clan, even if they've been getting some publicity for drama lately. First, though, we hit up Daisy Power Studios to get some work in with the homie Cientifiq. He guest starred in our latest video, Pay Us No Mind, and he's working on his EP, hot beats and rhymes. Definitely be on the lookout for Cientifiq & Crew54 collaborations in the future.

Then G-Christ made it out to Emo's, braving the sold out crowds and hell fire heat, to check out the show. Gotta give the nod to Cali Zack and N/A Productions for doing the local opener thing and putting it down. Then Duo Live introduced themselves to the sweaty TX hip-hop crowd. Then the Iron Man himself, Ghostface Killah, came out and ran through his long list of classic Wu-Bangers. To cap the night Redman and Method Man got the crowd into even more of a frenzy. Emo's is damn near their second home, and this night was no difference, they ripped it.

Every time we take a week off from the blog we feel bad, so what do we do, pile the come back episode FULL of serious good music. I mean this week is almost as packed as the SXSW episodes were.

First, we checked The Gathering with DJ Notion at one of his new venues the Belmont. The spot was lovely, and hip-hop was showcased even through a few sound issues. Sleep of Oldiminion was headlining with a couple of Austins own opening the bill.

Next up was the Great Hangover Tour, who is on that you ask? Pac Div, B.O.B. aka Bobby Ray, Kid Cudi, and Asher Roth, that's who. It was a crazy line up, and G-Christ was in the spot holding it down. Make sure to check below for a full Pac Div Interview.

If you didn't know, this has been one of the HOTTEST Summers in Texas history, and as if it couldn't get any hotter the legendary De La Soul came and, as I quote, "ripped it to shreds." We also spoke with Billy Ray who is the first artist on Maceo's new label.

Whats good folk, its ya boy the m.o.s., its 3:30 am and I'm watching Canadian comedy shows...life is great! There is no video blog this week, but thats due to work, and has nothing at all to do with me being a lazy negro...nope not at all. This past weekend we shot a video for our latest track with the homie Dichter2 Productions out of Germany. Much love to the fam Jamien, Cientifiq, and Carisa for helping us out and starring in the latest Dookie Vizion Production. Just wait till you see the out-takes...mayne.

Speaking of Dookie Vizion Productions, take a minute to revisit the last D.V. masterpiece Bavu Blakes - Go Blaze video. I've never seen an official Waffle House commercial, this should be it. Props to Ter'ell Shahid and the homie Picnic of PPT.

The 54 Reality Show is all about the local scene, so I'ma give a little love to the fam Cali Zack & N/A Productions. The home girl Angelina has been shooting footage of them rocking shows and put together nice demo reel.

I think I'm starting to see double, so I'm going to wrap this up, plus my show is about to go off. The homie Gee Bully (who we just did a dope collabo with) and his AAE fam just put together the 2nd Annual Austin Hip-Hop Awards. There's been a lot of drama and back talk on this event, but at the end of the day I got love for any one trying to show love to some of these Cen-Tex artist. I told we was international before, but you know its just not good enough when you say it yourself. So I went and got the hottest DJ/Personality/Hip-Hop Head from Amsterdamn Pay aka Payola Jamz of www.payology.com to let yall know how we really get down.

July has been a busy month for us, after taking what seemed like a short hiatus from recording new material after Crew Deep, we're back in the fast lane in the studio droping tracks gearing up for the Ghetto Rhapsody process. Also we got a sneak peak of a new joint we're working on featuring the homies Megaran & DJ NickNack produced by Keelay & Zaire.

Finally we debut the latest Dookie Vizion Production: Bavu Blakes - Go Blaze video. This track, produced by the stellar Picnic of PPT fame, is off of Bavu's Extra Plair EP which was released last year. Thats the beauty of it though, good music can stand the test of the time, also a big shout out to Ter'ell Shahid and the Waffle House staff.

Truer words have never been written, and even though these lyrics are from his 1995 classic "Braggin Writes," they still ring true to this day. We've been talking about it for a bit, J-live and Homeboy Sandman rocking live in TX. Thanks to the folks from Save Hip-Hop Save The World up in Dallas for getting it jumped off.

First ATX's own, Feddi Man & DJ Protege, represented for the South. Then Homeboy Sandman, who has been traveling across the country, stopped in the 512 to give us a taste of his new single The Essence, and share the mic with Feddi Man in true freestyle form. We also got Miss Summa Reign out of Dallas to give us a quick shout out.

Then the legend J-live took the stage, simultaneously rapping and dj'ing, and putting on an inspiring performance. To top it off, we got the homie Bavu Blakes to come and talk with him for a while so do yourself a favor and peep game...

Crew54 is back in full on rapper mode as we finish up some of the collab tracks and bangers for various producers we've been working with, before we shut all systems down for the Ghetto Rhapsody process. We worked on two exclusive bangers for the homies Dichter2 Productions and EP Beats.

This week, on July 12, this is a pretty dope hip-hop show coming to Austin. J-live and Homeboy Sandman will first get it poppin in Dallas, then bring the flavor to the Atx. The show in Dallas is gonna be crazy, props to Krysti(@guerillamilk), and the one in Austin will be equally off the meat rack. It's a new month with a new episode of the best weekly video blog showcasing the hip-hop scene from a true underground perespective. Let's get it.

The temperature around here has been stuck on "sweaty ass" lately, so what better way to enjoy the heat than to throw a BBQ and chill with family and friends. This also gave us time to reflect on a hot show we checked out earlier in the week, Talib Kweli and Strong Arm Steady putting it down.

The homies from Proper Entertainment brought another quality hip-hop show to the Austin area, they also brought along a few Austin locals to rock the bill. Bavu was the host, while Trayg od, Zeale, and Cali Zack jumped off the festivities with DJ Hannibal backing them up.

Then it was time for Strong Arm Steady to rip it up, but first DJ Eque came out to get the crowd in a heated frenzy playing some classics. Then Krondon, Phil Da Agony, and Mitchy Slick, better known as Strong Arm Steady, came out to show why they were "Talib Kweli recruited." Then the man himself, Talib Kweli, came out and ran through all of his classics and a few off his new project with DJ Hi-tek.

Afterwards Bavu caught up with Kweli to talk about his recent marriage to DJ Eque, and his label Blacksmith records. Catch it all here on the 54 Reality Show...

Where heading to NXNE this weekend, so back once again from a few technical difficulties we present you with this wonderful blog. I'm going to keep it short and sweet this week, so check it out.

The homies Kill City opened up for Mr. Lif, along with Willie Evans Jr. and Grieves at Red 7
Dubb Sicks rocked the Music Vault in Harker Heights with Stephanie Salvo and proceeded to tell all female mc's to bring their pussies on if they wanted to challenge.
We met Kosha Dillz back at SXSW, and he hit us up to let us know he recently won a battle at Hot 97's Summer Jam and a record contract with Duck Down, MASSIVE.

Man just check it out, we'll be rocking Club Harlem in Toronto on Friday the 19th, make sure you check it out. Holla at ya boys, I gotta run, forgive me if I missed something, peace. Oh yeah there is some confusion about fried chicken and Canada in the beginning....but you ain't hear that from me.

The 54 Reality Show 6-02

Whats good 54 Reality Show viewers, this weeks episode is serious.

There was a shooting outside of a popular club in Austin, related to a rap event that took place that night. While we are thankful no one was killed, I wanted to get out on the scene and speak with a few local artist to find out how they feel this will affect the enviroment for hip-hop in Austin. Then the homie Bavu came through and showed us his interview with up and coming R&B talent Anthony David. He's the first signee on India Arie's new imprint, and Bavu caught up with him while he was in town. If your in the Austin area on Wednesday's from 3 t0 5 p.m. make sure you check out Bavu's Revue on KaziFm 88.7.

Finally we finish it up with footage from performances at Flamingo Cantina and Dirty Dog. The homie Cali Zack was putting it down at Flamingo with N/A Productions, Dred Skott, and C.O.D. It was a pretty chill week, blog wise but very hectic behind the scenes. As we continue to get ready to head out to Toronto, thats right ya boys have been chosen to play NXNE music festival, we missed a few good events going on. It's all good though, cuz lord knows not many are grinding like where are, don't believe me well just ask the Austin Chronicle. Speaking of the Chronicle, they reviewed CREW DEEP, click here to see what they said and read some behind the scenes notes on the history of this album.

We did make time to get out and rock the mic last week. Thats right, it was an official MusicNMind throwdown and La Zona Rosa, with Dj Notion, DJ Aspekt, and DJ Hybrid-Cut. It was a cool night full of hip-hop and even tap dancing, props to everyone that put it down. YOU'RE WATCHING THE 54 REALITY SHOW.

Crew Deep Review & thoughts

Crew Deep (*right click save as* to download free) is the official 5th project we've done as Crew54. Chase Hoffberger of the Austin Chronicle had this to say about the album:

Killeen duo Crew54 spreads the wealth on digital download/street release Crew Deep, getting "nasty as a Ray J sex tape" ("Get Up") over Parr Beats' production ("Therapy") and Remax's GOOD Music-evoking "Keep Shining." We appreciate the good words, means we're doing something right. I wanted to give you a bit of my mos-thoughts about the project and what happened on theses songs. Check it out.

Sun God Yamaha Skit - Crew Deep was intended to be an album showcasing all of the collabs we've done in the past year or so. Sun God Yamaha doesn't seem to like all these new niggas.
First Things First - We were near the end of the recording process and looking for the proper song to jump it off, Dichter2 Productions hit us with this one out of nowhere and we blazed it up. I've heard this sample flipped before, but I love the way D2P worked it for us. We had some specific pieces we wanted for the hook and DJ Kidcut cut it up perfectly.
Get Up - This is one of the older songs on the album, but we never put it on a project so we had to get it on here. I'd seen King E posting on some of the boards I was familiar with and I hit him up after he showed us love on a song we did. I asked him for a banger, and he delivered...nuff said.
Can't Lose ft. Random - C-hova pointed me to a guy on Myspace that she really liked, even said he reminded her of some stuff I would do. I checked him out and he was dope, and I saw making some crazy moves. I hit him up for a collab and not only was he down but he had beats for us to use too. We picked one and did our parts and he came through, even shot us some footage of him to put a video together. Check it out HERE, and check him out he's killing it now.
Blue Rain - He came with his buddy Real Realington to let you know he'll get ya wet
Grown Man Muzik - I swear D2P had us in mind when he created this beat, its energetic but still smooth enough for us to talk about some real shit on. I think this is G's favorite song to perform right now
Still Strugglin ft. Pugs Atomz - We met Pugs Atomz when we opened for him on tour with DJ Vadim, Abstract Rude, & Yarah Bravo. I'd heard about him online and knew he was doing his thing, we talked a bunch at the show and afterwards hit him up for the collab and he was down. We had a bunch of bangers from Zaire and the fam, so we just sent this one to Pugs and he hit us back with a verse and the hook. Banger!
Therapy - Our grind in Germany was crazy for a minute, we were getting hit with collabs and beats from a new German artist/producer almost everyday. Parr Beats was no exception, woke up with this banger in the Gmail box.
Come Ride With Me - We'd been hearing bout this producer making heat in the ATX. I'd heard some of Da Bosnian's joints and we'd even met him at a couple of shows. He was selling a double disk instrumentl project with beats to be used. We went threw it all and liked this smooth joint. Added a sample from a hot track he did with Charlie Boy & Bavu Blakes to the end, plus I snored on it, whats better than that?
Silky Christ Skit - bitch you must be crazy...
Who Dat Is - "Like OMG, does Crew54 have a club banger!?!" The homie Kwestro, formally know as Qenetic Storm, always works well with us. We blazed Titan off of Aggressive Soul and he delivered this one on a platter. We hit up some folks, I won't name the names, but basically they didn't come through. No biggie because we did it Crew54 style and I think this is a sleeper hit on this album, they love it in the club.
Feel Me ft. Alpha 20-20 - From the moment we met 2020, aka Ike of Mike & Ike, we knew he was extremely talented. Not only does he rock damn near every track, but he also makes some powerful ass beats. He actually came through one day to record a track for G's solo album and brought a beat cd. Wrote & recorded this song on the spot, and its probably my fav song on the album, but shhhhh don't tell nobody.
Get Ready - This was the 1st song we did with D2P, he sent us a beat sampler that had 5-6 heat rocks on it, but this fit our style more at the time. I still listen to that sampler like we could have made the hottest 5-6 song album with just those beats alone. Oh yeah, we shot a video for this too, check it HERE.
Keep Shining ft. Unlearn - Once again the German connection came through, whats up German fam get us a plane ticket and its ON. Remax blessed us with this smooth beat, and we used it as a remix to our show stealer SHINE off Beaters & Babies. We met the homie Unlearn through DJ 730 over at HipHopGame.com Unlearn held it down and hopefully we'll work together in the future.
Knocking Doors Down ft. V-Zilla - I LOVE THIS SONG, simply put. I've known King Verse for a hot minute since before we started Crew54, and he's always down to drop a jem on us. When I heard this beat I immediately was on some DJ Premier shit, like THIS IS HIP-HOP. We met V-Zilla at a show here in Austin in 07, sent him the beat and in 08 he sent his verse back and it was pure fire.
Champion Radio - If you're radio was a champion these are the songs it would skip through...
Champion - ...and this is the song it would land on. This was another one from D2P, we told him what kind of song we wanted to do and he sent this within the hour. Went through some hassle with the first recordings of this, it was even on the blog, but this one is perfect. I still think this is ready for ESPN, someone hook ya boys up.
Ghetto Is Our Home ft. Donny Goines - I try to stay up on my hip-hop buzz, and I'd been seeing the name Donny Goines pop up EVERYWHERE. I checked some tracks out and was pleased to see a cat spitting honest rhymes, with a dope flow on some straight hip-hop ish.
Good Day ft. Bavu Blakes & Beaute - As I stated before, the process of this album was to get some collabs done with folks that would help us progress as artist. We fished around for a few quote unquote big names that really weren't what we needed. This is another Keelay & Zaire banger that we felt deserved to be done right. There was a different hook intended but when G came with whats on their now we felt that was perfect for the situation. Once we had the overall sound played out we knew Mr. Blakes would be perfect for it and luckily he held us down.
Too Late - Benny from Rappersguide.com (German Connection fam, whats good with it?) asked us to jump on a mixtape they were working on. He sent a boatload of hot beats, but this heat rock from Mindz took the cake. We were in the "scream at em let em know whats good" mind frame when we heard it, so thats where we took it.
